Sled Safe!

We share the trails in Silver Star Provincial Park with other riders (sledders, snowbikers and tracked ATVs) and other recreational user groups (cross country skiers, snowshoers and ski tourers). Please ride responsibly, observe and respect all signs, stop at trail crossings and stay off the ski and snowshoe trails.

The Vernon Snowmobile Association is working with BC Parks, Recreation, Sites and Trails, the BC Snowmobile Federation and continually monitoring updates from the BC Provincial Health Officer for regulations and restrictions related to COVID-19.

Please visit our COVID-19 Updates page for more information and current procedures and restrictions.

If you have an emergency or are missing some members of your group please call 911 and the appropriate emergency responder or Search and Rescue group will be dispatched.

Download the VSA Trail Map before riding so you have reference points and GPS coordinates.

Also download the free Avenza app fro Android and Apple to show your current location on the map.

Hand Signals for Riders

Do you wonder why oncoming riders are waving at you?

It isn't just that sledders are an exceptionally friendly lot (they are) but they're trying to share important information with you so you know who's coming the other direction on the trails. Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with the hand signals below and start using them on the trails as you meet other riders.
